Supa Hannongbua

Committee member of Council of Science and Technology Association of Thailand (COSTAT)

Supa Hannongbua obtained Dr.rer.nat (1991) from Innsbruck Univ., Austria. She has been a Professor of Chemistry Department, Kasetsart University (KU) and Dean of Faculty of Science, KU (2014-2018). She obtained several awards such as 1997 Young Scientist Award, 2002 TWAS Young Scientist Award in Thailand, 2006 L'Oreal for Women in Science, Member of Thai Academy of Science and Technology (1998-present), TRF Senior Research Scholars (2007-2014). She is the President of Chemical Society of Thailand (2017-present) and Board Member of the Asia-Pacific Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (APATCC) (2013-present). She has been the Secretary-general of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) (2009-2011), IUPAC National Representative in the Division of Chemistry and the Environment (2012-2013), the Division of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry (2014-2017). Her research interest is based on Computer-Aided Molecular Design, Natural Products and drug discovery, Cheminformatics and Data Science. She published about 160 publications, and 5 Book Chapters.
