Kamunya Executive Director of Science Safari He graduated from University of Dar es Salaam with a Master in "Science with education/Trainer" in 2014 and graduated from Australia National University with a Master in "Science Communication" in 2018. Since 2012, as a Biology and Chemistry Trainer, he tries to promote he tries to promote the latest Biological concepts in classrooms and School settings. He also tries to facilitate training in new method and approach to promote in new method and approach to promote and improve the leaning process in classrooms and outside the classroom. And he attempts to develop new ways of training and learning Concepts in Biology and Chemistry. He has been the director of Science Safari for eight years since 2013.His main job is determining the direction of Science Safari and responsible for ensuring the drafting and implementation of all plans in promoting Public Science Literacy. In addition, he is responsible for some specific affairs like planning science shows, Exhibitions, Science Fair and other STEAM related ideas and sharing with the team for outreach activities. In terms of Public Relations, he stands as a middleman between Science Centres and the general public including the Government, Schools, Private Sectors and media, thus the voice of Science Safari. In terms of Financial resource mobilization, he is responsible for mobilizing fund to support such organizational activities exhibit buildings, science outreach and science festival implementation. In terms of Human capital mobilization, he is responsible for staff and volunteer recruitment as well as their training. In terms of Chairing meetings of the organization, he also ensures the seating of Board and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).He has some expertise in science communication. |
