  Federation of Associations for Science and Technology

Established in Milan in 1897, FAST is a non-profit, independent organization that represents 31 national scientific and technical associations with about 42,000 members of industry, research, technology and the liberal professions.
FAST, has the objective of spreading scientific culture by offering technical services at national level, promoting public and private initiatives of advanced training and professional education and participating in European innovation projects, offering support for sector studies and for the dissemination of results of projects at European level. Thanks to the competencies and expertise of the associations belonging to FAST network, the Federation is able to address significant stakeholders at regional and national level and to guarantee a permanent liaison with the most relevant EU industrial and research networks.
FAST built long-standing knowledge and experience in managing project dissemination and communication activities, developing project Dissemination and Communication Plans and divulgating project results to a variety of target audience included general public.
FAST values very much the dissemination of science to young generations; since 1989 FAST is the National Organizer of EUCYS - European Union Contest for Young Scientists every year selecting the best Italian talents to be sent to Competitions around the world. FAST promoted the birth and is founding member of scientific Associations such as UGIS - Union of Italian Scientific Journalists and H2IT – Italian Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell.

  Ciência Viva

Ciência Viva is the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture, created in 1996 to promote public awareness of the importance of science and technology at a national level, with a particular emphasis on young people. The Agency promotes and supports science education projects at school, placements for secondary school students in research laboratories during the holidays and summer science activities for the general public.
Since its creation, Ciência Viva has been developing activities along three different and complementary streams: science education (schools), public awareness of science (citizens) and a national network of 20 interactive policy centres, in collaboration with universities and local authorities. Regarding decision makers, The Pavilion of Knowledge, in Lisbon – the headquarters of Ciência Viva –, is the largest science centre in Portugal.
It has participated in more than 30 European projects since 2002, dedicated to science awareness, science education, virtual/digital share of scientific resources and recently responsible research innovation. Regarding space education, Ciência Viva signed a contract programme with the European Space Agency to host the ESERO- Portugal, part of the network of European Space Education Resource Office. Ciência Viva is also a member and sits on the board of the ASTC – Association of Science – Technology Centres, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the European Science Events Association (EUSEA).

  Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations of Ukraine

Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations of Ukraine (USEAU) is the oldest technical federation in the country. The first engineering clubs appeared on the South of Ukraine in the mid of 19th century. They appeared by the initiative of world known scientist Prof. Dmytrij Mendeleev (Table of chemical elements).
USEAU was the largest and the most important technical federation in the country during Soviet Union time. Our main initiative is to implement European/international system of certification of engineers in our country. Our initiative is supported by the government (National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, State Space Agency of Ukraine and etc.), by leading universities and industry, by more than 40 local technical federations. USEAU is the member of WFEO and FEANI.
